 Will you come
to my house to get
me organized?If you
live in the lower Fraser Valley, Hope, Yale, Chilliwack
and points in between in BC, yes. I also offer email
and telephone consulting and coaching, for anyone who
is outside of this area.

Isn't this an
expensive
service?There are
differently priced plans depending on what you need.
Hiring a Professional Organizer is not like hiring a cleaning
person. You not only get help in setting up systems to help you
get organized, you get personal coaching on how to make those
systems work. At one time,
services like this were only available to
Corporations. I have taken many courses through my previous
employment as a Justice of the Peace and Clerk of the Court with
the BC government. I have also held other positions where my
training included time management, record keeping, communications
and goal setting and coaching others. You get the combination of
my professional training and life experience to help you learn
how to get and stay organized.

How
do I find out if hiring a PO is right for me?Most PO's
offer an initial assessment where you sit down and
discuss what you want to happen. Organized Forever does charge
for your initial consultation. This session lasts anywhere from
30 minutes to an hour and during that time we would discuss your
situation. Then, I will tell you if I can help you and give you a
price quote. If you book your project during the consultation, the fee paid for the consulting time will be deducted from your first organizing session. If we decide
to go ahead with your project, we sign a contract
and then set a date or dates to suit your schedule. I do offer
referral discounts and discounts when you book more than the
minimum three-hour session.

I've
tried everything to get organized but
nothing seems to work. Why should hiring a Professional Organizer
be any different? Won't it all just get disorganized again after
my session is over? A
Professional Organizer is experienced and familiar with setting
up workable systems to simplify chores. I can help you to work
with what you have. This means instead of setting up complicated
systems that may have failed you in the past, we will talk and I
will assess your situation, evaluate resources you have on-hand
and help you devise systems that will work with your personal
style. You not only
get help with the initial organizing project, I also
coach you on how to maintain your newly organized system. You do have to
make a commitment to make changes, but they will
only be changes that you agree with. You can work at a pace
that is comfortable for you. There are several plans available
that include follow-up services. If you feel you need to have
monthly or bi-monthly follow-up sessions, that can be easily
arranged.

I
worry that if I throw something away I might
need it again; will I have to throw most of my things away?Holding
onto items because you are worried that they might be
needed again happens because you haven't set up policies for your
'stuff'. I help you create policies so you know what you need to
keep and what you can safely throw away. There are also
emotional ties to some of our 'stuff' and only you
will be able to determine what you really need to keep.
I use coaching skills to help you decide what stays and what
goes, but it is always up to you to make the final decision. As an
impartial outside party, I am able to give you insight
(tips you may not have thought of) when it comes to managing and
disposing of your belongings. We also have lots of laughs while
we are doing it.
I
feel uncomfortable about somebody coming in
and seeing my mess. Will you refuse to work with me if I am
hopelessly disorganized?On the
contrary, I love helping someone find better ways to
manage their time and get control of the clutter. The more
disorganized you are the better you are going to feel after we
are finished getting you set up. I grew up in a small house and
my mother never threw anything away so, it's likely you
aren't any worse than what I lived with most of my growing up
years. And after all,
if everyone knew how to be organized and stay that
way, there wouldn't be a need for a service like mine. Yours
likely wouldn't be the worst place I've seen, so really, the more
disorganized you are the better I like it, because the results
can be so gratifying. To book your
